FW Family Scholarship Fund

Scholarship Criteria:

1.The scholarship recipient(s) should be chosen based on the following factors:

• First-year student attending Monterey Peninsula College or Hartnell
• Student of color
• Documented financial need
• First generation (in family) attending college
• Intent to major in Engineering (such Industrial engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, etc.), Applied Sciences or Computer Science

2. The applicant must be:

• Planning to transfer after two years to attend a four-year college or University to obtain a degree in Engineering (such Industrial engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Structural
  Engineering, etc.), Applied Sciences or Computer Science
• Planning to attend full-time
• 2.5 minimum GPA

3. To claim the award funds, the winning student must:

• Enroll by Fall semester
• Submit a claim form with proof of enrollment by October 31st of the year in which the award is made
• Candidates may apply for a second year of funding
