Brian Halfwassen Memorial Scholarship Fund

The Brian Halfwassen Memorial Scholarship Fund honors the legacy of Brian Halfwassen. Scholarship awards will be given to graduating North Salinas High School seniors pursuing a postsecondary education and planning to enroll in a 4 year academic institution.

Scholarship Guidelines
- Amount: $1000
- Number of scholarships: 1 per year
- One-time scholarship
- Open to: North Salinas High School seniors

Scholarship Criteria:
1. The scholarship recipient(s) must be registered as a student at North Salinas High School and graduating high school senior.
2. The scholarship recipient(s) should be chosen based on the applicant’s:
 Minimum GPA: 2.5
3. Preference will be given to students participating in athletic and band programs at North Salinas High School
4. Complete the opportunity specific questions:
 Have you participated in any sports and for how many years?
 Have you played any instruments and for how many years?
 Activities resume

5. To claim the award funds, the winning student must:
 Enroll in a 4-year college
 As a full-time student
 by Fall semester after receiving the award
 Send the Claim Form provided by CFMC along with official proof of his or her enrollment to the Community Foundation.
