Legacy of Learning Jaroslav "Jerry" Stepanek Memorial Scholarship

In honor of our beloved friend Jerry Stepanek, we have created The Legacy of Learning Jaroslav “Jerry” Stepanek Memorial Scholarship to support young people entering the building and construction trades. This will continue Jerry’s legacy of being a mentor and skilled craftsman in the field of construction and architecture.

Scholarship Criteria:
1. The applicant must demonstrate a desire to pursue a career in the construction industry: Architecture, Engineering, Design (Interior and Build)
2. Open to graduating high school seniors, transfer students and returning students.
3. Preference will be given to students returning to work in Monterey County after completion.
4. Minimum GPA: N/A
5. To claim the award funds, the winning student must:
■ Enroll in an accredited school of higher education:
1. 4-year college or two-year college
2. Vocational/trade school
■ by Fall (or) Spring semester after receiving the award
■ Send the Claim Form provided by CFMC along with official proof of his or her enrollment to the Community Foundation.
