World Affairs Council of the Monterey Bay Area Scholarship

The World Affairs Council of the Monterey Bay Area, Inc. is a nonprofit, non-partisan organization established to promote the presentation, discussion, and study of international affairs. The World Affairs Council of the Monterey Bay Area makes annual $3,000 merit-based WAC Scholarships to local students from the California State University Monterey Bay (CSUMB), Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey (MIIS), Hartnell, and Monterey Peninsula College (MPC). Students need to apply themselves, and are responsible for getting a recommendation letter from one Professor/Teacher in their Major. Candidates must be high academic achievers and show interest in international affairs and/or related subjects. The scholarship is designed to supplement the cost of tuition and books and funds will be paid directly to the Financial Aid Office.

Criteria:
• Student to be a US citizen, or Legal Permanent Resident (Green Card holder)
• Student must carry a full academic load. Please provide all current and previous College/Universit Transcripts (official or unofficial).
• Scholarships are for sophomore year or above of college, or post graduate study
• Minimum GPA 3.0
• Demonstrate Financial Need (FAFSA score, which is revealed in an EFC Score (Expected Family Contribution))
