Richard Gourley Memorial Scholarship Fund
Scholarship Criteria:
The fund aims to award one (1) $1,000 scholarships annually according to these requirements:
The scholarship recipient(s) should be chosen based on:
Documented financial need
2.5 Unweighted GPA in all courses
Experience in 4-H and/or FFA; work or volunteer experience may also be considered
An activities resume
A 500-word essay: “What are your career goals or, if unknown, what interests you and how will this scholarship help you?”
2. The applicant must live in and/or attend high school in Salinas, Greenfield, Soledad, Gonzales or King City. Transfer Students from those cities are also encouraged to apply.
3. To claim the award funds, the winning student must:
Enroll in a 4-year school or 2-year school that includes vocational school or junior college as a full time student by the Fall semester after receiving the award
Send the Claim Form provided by the Foundation along with official proof of his or her enrollment to the Foundation by the due date (usually October 31)
