Drezner Family Scholarship

The Drezner Family Scholarship Fund supports students at Monterey Peninsula College and Hartnell College planning to transfer into a four-year college or university in order to complete their bachelor’s degree. The Fund will award scholarships of up to $6,500 per year, renewable for a second year. The final award amount is determined after consideration of all sources of financial aid.

Competitive awardees are students dedicated to making a meaningful difference in their communities and beyond. We’re looking for individuals who are passionate about living a life of purpose and who demonstrate focus, determination, and resilience in their efforts to create a better world.

Students committed to careers in various fields are encouraged to apply — including but not limited to health & human services, education and social science fields, e.g., social work, public health, medicine, nursing, psychology, teaching, political science, social justice & law, public administration; natural & earth sciences, e.g. scientific and medical research, environmental science and conservation, climate resilience, sustainable agriculture and quality control; STEM fields and communications, media studies & journalism.

Scholarship recipients are chosen based on documented financial need, academic record of achievement, demonstrated leadership through their education, work experience and community service, and an essay and statement of goals and aspirations. A letter of recommendation is also required. The applicant must currently be registered as a student at either Hartnell College or Monterey Peninsula College, and planning to enroll as a full-time student at a four-year college or university in the next academic year (Fall 2025).
