Hausdorf Family Scholarship
The purpose of this scholarship is to provide higher education funding to study music for one graduating student from a Monterey County public high school. The scholarship is renewable for up to four years. Applicant should: have documented financial need; plan on furthering his/her education in music this fall at the college level, with the intent to pursue a degree in the field of music; have been a member of a high school or community band, orchestra or chorale; show exceptional talent in a musical instrument, singing, or music composition; have a recommendation from a high school band director or similar individual (e.g. director of a community youth orchestra); have achieved at least a 2.8 GPA over all four years of High School; demonstrate good character; and write a 200 word essay describing the reason for pursuing a degree in music and what it would mean to be awarded. Open to students from all Monterey County high schools.
