Bill Clapper Memorial Music Scholarship

The scholarship was established in August 2000 with a major gift from Mary J. Clapper and additional gifts made by friends and associates after the death of her husband, Bill Clapper, who had been a music teacher in the Monterey schools. Applicant should be a student furthering his/her education in music at the college level, a graduating senior from Monterey High School, a member of the HS Band, Jazz Band, or Orchestra for at least two years, including the Senior year, exceptionally talented on woodwind, brass, string, or percussion instrument, recommended by the MHS School Band Director, and have achieved at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA.
