Emerging Leaders Society of United Way Monterey County supports United Way Monterey County’s mission, vision, and initiatives by promoting the value of volunteering and philanthropy by taking action to make sustainable change within Monterey County. Emerging Leaders Society is open to anyone 21 years and older who want to make a difference within the community.

United Way Monterey County (UWMC) is a local nonprofit, non-partisan, tax-exempt 501© (3) organization, with EIN-94-1322169. Established in June 2000, the organization’s mission is to engage the community and focus resources to improve lives in Monterey County. Our programs and services are designed to improve financial stability of families with a focus on access to affordable, quality child care and housing. In addition, UWMC provides a portfolio of financial support services and connections to help families become economically self-sufficient. We stand for equity, diversity, and inclusion in our organizational practices, policies, and programs.

Impact

Emerging Leaders Society of United Way Monterey County Scholarship Fund provides scholarships to Higher Education/Tech School students who are parents. The applicant must be registered as a student 18 years of age and up at any accredited institution (online or on-campus).
