Joel and Dena Gambord Nursing Scholarship

The goal of this scholarship program is to attract and support high caliber nursing students who choose to complete their advanced nursing studies, RN to BSN or ADN to BSN programs, at CSU Monterey Bay. In so doing, this program will provide CSU Monterey Bay and the College of Health Sciences and Human Services with the opportunity to ensure the development of high-quality nursing expertise in the region. The scholarship fund provides financial support to eligible students for tuition relief and other student expenses as established by the University as normal supplemental scholarship funding for students in the nursing program.

Number and Amount of Scholarship Awards:
• Up to $17,000

Priority consideration will be given to scholarship applications in the following order:
• First priority will be given to RN to BSN applicants
• Second priority will be given to ADN to BSN applicants

As part of the application process students are required to take a US Civics exam which gauges applicants understanding of United States history, government, and legal system. The exam is meant to be a tool to help students become more knowledgeable citizens and participants in our Democracy. Once you have submitted your application please reach out to Michael Castro at michaelc@cfmco.org and let him know you have applied to the Joel and Dena Gambord Nursing Scholarship.
